Road anti-terrorist blockers - invoice and mortise - differences
Road anti-terrorist blockers
Anti-ram barrier anti-terrorist obstacle - road blocker - super-reliable protection of the travel area. Performs the function of stopping any vehicle moving at any speed.
At a speed of 5-10 km / h, the road blocker completely stops the car. At a speed of more than 20 km / h, the anti-ram blocker destroys the car, because. that with its mass cuts off the front axle (suspension) and stops itself, excluding the possibility of any unwanted transport entering the territory. Practical tests have shown that when a vehicle violating the ban collides with an anti-ram barrier, the expensive carrier frame of the blocker is not deformed, and damaged components and parts of the anti-ram barrier can be replaced. An anti-ram anti-terrorist obstacle - a road blocker - stops even vehicles such as KAMAZ and MAZ vehicles weighing up to 40 tons.
Road anti-terrorist blockers can block the territory of any perimeter and passage of any width. Road bollards are manufactured in multiples of 500mm, starting from 2000mm. Production of a blocker over 4000 mm. possible, but not recommended. The reason lies in the physical properties of the metal: twisting, sagging, fatigue, etc. We recommend “breaking” long road blockers into two parts. In particular, if the width of the overlapping web is 4000 mm, it is desirable to manufacture and install two products of 2000 mm each.
The most important positive aspects of this production and installation solution are:
1. The distribution of the load on the actuator is halved, because on each section of the barrier obstacle 2000 mm. one drive installed. Thus, in the first case, one blocker drive lifts 4000 mm, and in the second case, it lifts two sections of the road blocker by 2000 mm, one drive for each.
2. Assume a road anti-ram bollard, 4000 mm wide. covers the width of the roadway in 5000 mm. Then, in case of failure of the mechanism, due to long-term operation, and, accordingly, wear of rubbing parts, or deformation, due to mechanical impact (impact, collision), etc. the entire width of the passage is blocked, because one drive drives one road bollard. Accordingly, for the entire period of repair work, the entire passage is blocked. If two independent bollards of 2000 mm each are installed, one side of the passage will continue to function. As a rule, both bollards raise and lower synchronously, however, a slight delay or advance of one of the two bollards is allowed, by about 15-25 mm, or in a time factor of about 0.5 seconds.
Places of application of road blockers
Road bollards are used as anti-terrorist and anti-ram barriers to entry to especially important facilities where the requirements for access protection are increased and where it is necessary to prevent the passage of vehicles:
- Railway crossings - a road blocker blocks the entrance to a railway crossing when rail transport is moving on it
- Nuclear facilities, oil storage facilities, energy facilities, explosion and fire hazardous industries, military and secret facilities, airports, seaports - anti-terrorist and protective function of the road blocker from dangerous and unwanted vehicles on the territory
- Hotels, administrative offices, hospitals, shopping centers, entrance to cottage towns - road barriers perform the function of increased access control
- Checkpoints, bridges, road sections, dams, tunnels, controlled highways, streets - anti-ram barriers perform the function of temporary traffic restriction if necessary
The road bollard is equipped with a hydraulic mechanism that raises the barrier. It is recommended to set the control as forced movement. That is, while the guard keeps his finger on the button, the road blocker moves up or down. As soon as the guard removes his hand, the barrier stops and locks in the position in which he removed his hand from the button. Further, depending on what further movement of the roadblock requires movement, it is the right button for him to press.
Road anti-ram blockers are manufactured in two versions:
1) for mounting on the roadway (Barrier road bollard)
2) mortise into the roadway “under zero” (anti-collision road blocker)
The difference lies in the way of installation on the roadway.
Protective road blocker - “consignment note”.
Installation on the road. This is the recommended road bollard.
The advantage of the implementation of the barrier road bollard is that even in the passive position, the barrier bollard serves as an obstacle and also performs the functions of a speed bump. Another advantage of the barrier obstacle is that in this design all mechanisms are above ground level. This means that the actuator of the electromechanical drive is much less exposed to water, moisture and other aggressive factors than in the version with penetration into the roadway.
Also, an unimportant advantage is the cost of installation of this type (much lower financial and labor costs); the possibility of dismantling the operated product and prompt transfer to another location; the possibility of replacing the product with a newer one; no need to damage the pavement.
Anti-ram road blocker, "mortise".
Installation with penetration into the roadway “under zero”.
The advantage of the second type of installation is one factor: the comfort of moving the bollard without the feeling of obstacles.
Attention! We recommend installing the first type, unless there are other good reasons for installing the second type.
Information necessary for drawing up a project for the production of works (PPR).
- Climatic conditions (features) of the area.
- The slope of the territory (places of accumulation of storm and waste water).
- The need for laying storm drainage systems.
- The presence of hidden communications and engineering networks.
- Remoteness of the power supply point from the installation site of the road blocker.
- The geo-base of the area (soil, crushed stone, dense rocks, asphalt, rocky soil, concrete slabs, etc.).
- Possibility of installing an electric control cabinet in a heated room.
- Layout of access roads to the blocker (sharp turns, descents and ascents, and other obstacles that reduce or affect the speed of vehicles).
- Visibility (direct, indirect) from the security locations of the installation site of the anti-ram hydraulic blocker, and other information.
