KBP Runway Run 2019, the opening of summer navigation, and a little about tensors and mobile fences
Today, March 24, 2019, a large-scale and grand in its originality event called KBP Runway Run 2019 took place, which marked the transition of Boryspil International Airport to summer navigation, as well as the opening of the previously mothballed Terminal F, which will be on March 31 in full force to receive and serve low-cost passengers. This is how it was and why our company with improvement of cities and spaces was quite interested in the event.
As Pavlo Ryabikin, the general director of SE MA "Boryspil", announced on his Facebook page, the airport is systematically growing, showing a passenger flow of 12.6 million passengers last year and
expected 14.3 in 2019. He sincerely invited everyone to join the run along the runway, thereby celebrating the beginning of summer navigation and the opening of Terminal F. The airport head described the terminal itself as "bright, comfortable and clear" and was proud to congratulate everyone on the new "start ". We should note that many of our friends did run that distance and were extremely satisfied.
We were interested in this event from the point of view of a company that produces and sells everything for landscaping (including the airport), security and space equipment. A mass of selfies, sincere emotional group photos and photos from the official page of KBP Runway Run filled almost the entire Facebook and Insta feed, and what is interesting: in addition to smiling faces, each photo contained images of festive columns under twisted or velor ropes, tensors and mobile fences.
All three positions are intended to help safely conduct a large-scale event involving many people. Mobile fences were brought to the runway itself to make it easier to manage the crowd of people in the airside area (the so-called airside), and mobile galvanized fences were placed on the taxiways that preceded the exit to the "takeoff". It is necessary to note the proper level of organization of the holiday from the point of view of security, because it is not so easy to direct hundreds of excited participants of the run who are on the other side of the regime object.
The official part of the opening of the terminal took place on the stage, next to which a photo zone was equipped, and there proudly stood the racks under the ropes - they sparkled under the flashes of the cameras and the celebration became even more festive. The usual "workhorses" tensors performed the role of delimiters of the flow of guests.
We would like to say that the organization of each similar event requires:
- technical capabilities
- financial resource
- creativity
- engineering solutions
It is in terms of engineering solutions that tensioners, rope racks and mobile fences guarantee that a safe, comfortable atmosphere will be created at the event, and that everything planned will take place according to a fixed plan, because high-quality access control solutions will be waiting for order.
